Safer and More Inclusive

We have a responsibility to the people, customers and communities we serve and aim to maximise the value we provide to society for generations to come. Through AMIEO Sustainability 2030, we are tackling global sustainability challenges through innovative local action.

Communities

Using our knowledge and resources to benefit communities, we're focusing on skills, accessible mobility and energy solutions and partnerships to address local needs.

  • Expand our regional and local philanthropy programmes including Nissan Cares, strengthening existing partnerships and creating new ones.

  • Support our local communities through new accessible electrified mobility options and smart energy solutions.

  • Establish the skilled workforce of the future, focusing on attracting talent and upskilling our workforce. Our MADE NE program in the UK acts as the blueprint for the region, and we aim to establish similar initiatives in other markets.

Power of Employees

Accelerating DEI efforts and fostering a culture of belonging throughout the AMIEO business.

    • Create a fair, inclusive culture and workplace, ensuring diverse representation across Nissan AMIEO. We aim to increase the representation of women in executive positions across the region to 35% by 2030.

    • Be fully transparent on our actions through regular reporting and updates on progress.

    • Expand the region’s employee-led DEI Council and action-led strategy, extending the approach to key partners, dealers and suppliers.

    • Strengthen talent opportunities and provide equitable training programs for all employees.

Inspiring the Future at Nissan: 10 Years of the Skills Foundation

Ten years. 100,000 students. More than 500 schools. And it all started with one workshop. Since 2014, the Nissan Skills Foundation has been transforming how students engage with science, technology, engineering, and maths. Step inside a Skills Foundation session and you’ll see students programming robots, tackling real-world engineering challenges, and bringing creative solutions to life. More than 65% of participants are girls aged 7–13, proving that STEM is for anyone with the curiosity to explore and create. And the impact goes beyond the classroom, with many former students now working at Nissan.
